the lost poems of 2012

i)

a few poems linger

like

a wisp of smoke
in the hemlock trees

ii)

an unlikely sonnet
lodged behind the shed
covered in drifting snow

iii)

turn the dials
tweak the reverb
one more poem
rattles in that old amp

  3. Oh yes, I do think many of us can identify with 'lost poems.' Sigh. But let's just carry them on to 2013 as you have here in Poetry Pantry! (smiles)

  6. I like the concept of chasing those lost poems, finding their hiding places, fragments of where we've been. Nicely done.

  12. Ollie,

I understand when that 'word drought,' seems to arrive. When words work and make sense; as well as the times when one simply walks away:)
Every good wish for this year Ollie. It is wonderful to have you in our company at Poets United. You are a corner stone!!!

    Best Wishes,
    Eileen:)
